Who we serve

Vietnamese Speaking Patients

Dr Hao Nguyen consults in Vietnamese as well as English. Clinical findings, treatment options and instructions are discussed directly with the doctor rather than through an interpreter.

I would rather discuss my eye health with a doctor who speaks Vietnamese.
Wanting clinical detail explained directly rather than through translation.

Being able to discuss your own eye health directly with the doctor treating you, in your first language, changes the quality of the appointment. Questions get asked that would otherwise go unasked.

Dr Hao Nguyen is bilingual in English and Vietnamese, and consults in either. That covers the full range: comprehensive examination, ocular disease management, cataract co-management and specialty contact lens fitting.

It matters particularly for chronic conditions. Diabetes, glaucoma and macular degeneration all need long term management, and long term management depends on the patient genuinely understanding what is being tracked and why.

What matters most for this group

Discussion happens with the doctor rather than through a relative or an interpreter.
Chronic disease management
