Ortho-K and Invisalens

Custom lenses worn overnight. Wake up, take them out, see clearly all day. Reversible, non surgical, and the leading option for slowing myopia in children.

1. 1.Candidacy examination (60 to 90 minutes) Full eye health assessment, refraction, corneal topography and a discussion of whether Ortho-K suits your prescription, your corneal shape and your daily life.
2. 2.Diagnostic fitting (45 minutes) Trial lenses are placed and evaluated on the eye. Insertion, removal and cleaning are taught properly rather than described.
3. 3.Custom lens manufacture (1 to 2 weeks) Your design is generated and the lenses are made to it. Nothing about this is off the shelf.
4. 4.First night and morning review (30 minutes) You sleep in the lenses and are seen the following morning so both the vision achieved and the corneal response can be checked.
5. 5.Settling reviews (1 to 4 weeks) Further checks as the correction stabilises. Small design changes are normal at this stage and are part of the fit.

Specialty Eye Care

1. 1.Initial consultation (60 to 90 minutes) Comprehensive examination, corneal mapping, symptom review and a plain explanation of what the maps show and what the options are.
2. 2.Diagnostic lens fitting (45 to 60 minutes) Trial lenses from the specialty fitting set are placed and assessed on the eye. Scleral, hybrid and rigid designs are all evaluated where relevant.
3. 3.Custom lens ordering (1 to 2 weeks) Precise measurements are taken and lenses are made to them individually.
4. 4.Delivery and training (45 minutes) Fit is confirmed, and insertion, removal and care are taught properly rather than described.
5. 5.Follow up care (every 6 to 12 months) Vision, comfort, corneal health and progression are reassessed and compared against your baseline.

Eye Exams

More than a prescription check. Retinal imaging, glaucoma screening and disease detection, with appointments long enough to do it properly.

1. 1.Pre-testing (10 to 15 minutes) Lensometry to read your current glasses, refractometry to get a starting point for your prescription, glaucoma screening, corneal topography and Optomap retinal imaging.
2. 2.Comprehensive history (5 to 10 minutes) Symptoms, general health, medications, family eye history and how you actually use your eyes day to day. This shapes everything that follows.
3. 3.Refraction (10 minutes) The one or two comparison. It refines the automated starting point into a prescription your brain agrees with, because measured optics and perceived clarity are not identical.
4. 4.Binocular vision assessment (5 minutes) How well the eyes work together, coordinate and focus at near. A frequent and very treatable cause of headaches and reading difficulty.
5. 5.Eye health assessment (10 to 15 minutes) Slit lamp examination of the front of the eye, eye pressure, and examination of the retina and optic nerve.
6. 6.Doctor recommendation (5 to 10 minutes) What was found, what it means, what to do about it, and when to come back. Not a receipt handed over at a counter.
