General information only

Every page on this site provides general educational information about eye conditions, treatments and eye care. None of it accounts for your individual circumstances, your history or what an examination of your eyes would show.

It is not a substitute for professional examination, diagnosis or treatment.

The self assessment tools

The interactive tools on this site are educational awareness aids. They run entirely in your browser and no answers are transmitted anywhere.

No result from any of them is a diagnosis. A low score does not mean nothing is wrong and a high score does not mean something is. Every result ends in a recommendation to be examined, and that is the only conclusion any of them can properly support.

Individual results vary

Where this site describes what a treatment achieves, it describes what is typically achieved. Individual outcomes vary. No treatment described here is guaranteed to produce any particular result for any particular person.

Claims about this practice

Statements about services, guarantees, warranties, stock levels and scheduling reflect information provided by the practice. Terms of any warranty or guarantee are confirmed by the office before purchase.

Urgent symptoms

Do not use this website to decide whether an urgent symptom needs attention. Sudden vision loss, significant eye pain, a chemical splash, an eye injury, a red painful eye in a contact lens wearer, or new floaters with flashing lights all need prompt assessment.

Call (480) 706-3937 during opening hours, or go to an emergency department outside them. For a chemical splash, irrigate the eye with clean water for at least fifteen minutes before doing anything else.
