Optomap retinal imaging
A single capture that shows over 80 percent of the retina, often without dilation.
Conventional retinal viewing shows a narrow window at a time and usually needs dilating drops that leave vision blurred for hours. Optomap captures an ultra widefield image in a fraction of a second, displaying over 80 percent of the retina in one panoramic view. That coverage matters because the conditions that hide in the far periphery, retinal tears, holes and early detachment among them, are exactly the ones that cause the most damage when missed.
